To form first and second bevels, stages 1 and 2 use 100% fine diamond-coated conical sharpening disks. Stage 3 produces an ultra-smooth cutting edge with a revolutionary flexible stropping disk, like the familiar barber strop. Plugs into any AC outlet. Needs no honing oils or water.

In just seconds, this platinum beauty gives an edge of unprecedented sharpness and durability to fine edge (straight edge) and serrated knives. Chef's Choice Pro Knife Sharpener 5 5 1 1

Excellent Knife Sharpener I bought this as a gift for my mother, and she loved it so much, I got one for myself, and I absolutely love this knife sharpener. I find it works a little better with fine edge knives, however, it is good with serrated knives as well. The diamond coated sharpeners means I don't have to sharpen the knives as often as I did with my old sharpener. Plus, it is really easy to use, and the angle guides allow you to not mess up. Overall, a great knife sharpener! July 29, 2011
