This Koolatron AC adapter allows you to run your 12 Volts DC devices from a standard 110 Volt wall socket at your home. Use it to run cell phone chargers, portable coolers, and more. This step-down transformer was designed for use with Koolatron coolers, but it will power any 12V unit that is meant to plug into a car cigarette lighter socket (only products with less than a 5 amp draw).

Has been working good for 2+ weeks. Used to keep P85 cooler cold so can take to store @ any time for food. Does get quite warm in continuous use, about 110 degrees. April 5, 2013
Reason for purchase..... The Koolatron cooler was purchase to store my insulin in while I travel in my car. I needed an adaptor so I could use the refrigerator in motels/hotels that did not have refrigerators in their rooms. I came to this realization while on vacation and ordered the adaptor NOT realizing that I had already purchased one when I made the original purchase of the Koolatron. September 15, 2012
Just What I Wanted I'd been looking for an electric-powered cooler to supplement our original cool chest which had to be filled with ice. My wife and son provided me with a Koolatron cooler as a Father's Day gift, but it could only be used plugged into a vehicle lighter. The adapter which I ordered allows multiple use and I'm very pleased with the entire package. July 17, 2012
As advertized AC adapter is a must for the room. Does what they said it would do. May 31, 2012
