Buyers Guide

How do I connect the faucet adapter to my faucet?
The faucet adapter is designed to connect to all standard 7/8" faucets. To connect the faucet adapter, unscrew the very tip (including the aerator) of the faucet you are connecting it to, and replace it with the upper half (chrome) of the faucet adapter.

How do I use the faucet adapter for a one hose hook-up?
The upper half of the faucet adapter should be connected to the faucet (see the first question). Make sure the lower half of the faucet adapter (the brass fitting with a white plastic ring around it) is connected to the water inlet hose and that there is a rubber gasket between the lower half of the faucet adapter and the water inlet hose. The other end of the water inlet hose should be connected to the cold water inlet on the washer dryer. Grasp the lower half of the faucet adapter in your hand and use your thumb and forefinger to pull the plastic ring down (away from the opening) slightly. Now slide the lower half of the faucet adapter over the lower, tapered part of the upper faucet adapter and release the plastic ring. The two halves of the faucet adapter should now be securely fastened together. Turn on the water at the faucet and everything should be ready to go.

How do I connect the faucet adaptor for a two hose hook-up?
For this type of hook-up, you need a Y-connector. A Y-connector is a device that takes water in from one source and splits it out to two places. In this case, you would attach the "inlet" side (the single opening side) to the lower part of the faucet adapter. Again, make sure there is a rubber gasket between the faucet adapter and the Y-connector. Now take the two water inlet hoses and connect them to the "outlet" side (the side with the two openings) of the Y-connector. Make sure there are gaskets between the connections. Now make sure the other ends of the water inlet hoses are connected to the hot and cold inlets on the washer dryer (in this case, it doesn't really matter which hose connects to which inlet, since the water is all coming from the same source). Now slide the lower half of the faucet adapter over the lower, tapered part of the upper faucet adapter and release the plastic ring. The two halves of the faucet adapter should now be securely fastened together. Turn on the water at the faucet and everything should be ready to go.

How do I know if I need a one or two hose hook-up?
It depends upon the model of washer dryer combination. All nonvented washer dryer combos require cold water for the drying process, so they must have water coming into their cold water inlet.
The Supra washer dryer combinations only require one inlet hose because they only needs cold water coming in (their internal water heaters provide hot water for the wash cycle). Ariston, LG and Equator washer dryer combos only require a two hose hook-up if you want to run a hot water wash, otherwise, they can run a cold water wash and rinse with a one hose connection. Haier washer dryer combos always require a two hose hook-up because their water valves are connected.
Remember, even if you have a two hose hook-up connected to the faucet, the water temperature coming into the unit will be determined by the water mix you let into the units from the faucet, and all non-vented washer dryers require cold water for the condensation drying process.
