Vent your portable air conditioner up into your drop ceiling with this drop ceiling vent kit (model: APDK1). This drop ceiling vent kit for portable air conditioners is designed for use with 9' drop ceilings that use standard 24" by 24" or 24" by 48" panels.

Please note that this drop ceiling vent kit is designed for use with the following models: AP12000S, AP14000HS, AP14000HW, AP420HS, and the Boston Innovative AP410HW. This ceiling kit may be used with many other brands of portable air conditioner with little or no modification, however you will need to consult with one of our experts before using it with other brands.

Please note that by extending the exhaust hose may affect the cooling ability of the air conditioner. We never recommend extending a portable air conditioners' exhaust hose beyond 10 feet.

What are the ramifications of venting a no drip portable air conditioner into a drop ceiling?

If your building has sufficient air space in the plenum, venting a 9,000 or 12,000 BTU portable air conditioner into it should present no problem. However, if you are venting a no drip model into the plenum, you will be introducing extra humidity into it. If you have doubts about some aspect of this, you can either directly drain the portable air conditioner, or do not use this kit.

Portable air conditioners and portable air coolers may be returned for any reason within the first 15 days after they were delivered provided they are in new, fully functional, and undamaged condition, and include the original box, packing materials, manuals, and accessories. There is a 15% restocking fee on portable air conditioner and portable air cooler returns regardless of initial shipping costs (i.e., portable air conditioners and portable air coolers that are shipped out with "Free Shipping" are not subject to an additional 10% fee.)
