Representing the first two-burner ceramic electric cook top available in the marketplace utilizing Kenyon Custom's world first infrared Lite-Touch control technology, the Horizon 2 Burner Lite-Touch Cooktop (model: B42501) features a single burner and a dual burner in a compact 2-burner foot print. This affords the versatility of three burners in a compact 2-burner cook top for optimum efficiency when matching pot size to burner, which is recommended for even heat distribution around the cooking vessel. When flush mounted into the countertop, the clean design sans knobs permits simply elegant clean-up of cook top and countertop without ridges, frames, knobs or other obstructions.

Subtly textured glass adds to the design appeal as the hues from the scratch-minimizing texturing soften the black pigmentation. The beveled finish around the edge of the ceramic glass adds to the cook top attractiveness especially when mounted in marble countertops, however, structurally any countertop may be selected as the cook top is frameless and heat is only generated in the designated burner zones.

Features of the Horizon 2 Burner Lite-Touch Cooktop include a safety lock-out which prevents accidental activation by children or pets, automatic shut-off when inputs are multiple & flawed (cat jumped on cook top in use) or when the cook top is left unattended for a period of time, heat boost to rapidly bring a burner to high heat, heat indicator to alert user that a burner zone remains hot after cooking, audible fault indicator when input sequence is incorrect, and heat limiting cooking surface protectors.

The technological advantage of the Horizon 2 Burner Lite-Touch infrared touch control cook top translates into reliable and dependable operation, even in ambient environments which are humid and damp, as infrared light is used in the control pad sensors. Contrast that to competitive touch control cook tops which use capacitance control pad switches, and are very sensitive to routine environmental changes which naturally occur around a cook top in a kitchen, whether it be from liquid, grease, dirt, or ambient humidity and moisture.
