very satisfied I had a plumber install it, so I am basing my rating regarding installation on his observations. I did have to call the company to find the serial number, which is on the lower right leg behind the kick plate, in order to fill out the warranty. I have only used it twice but have been very satisfied so far. For two people I find I can do 6 meals worth of dishes, if I wash my cooking dishes (pots, pans, etc) by hand. I only had a small space, and it fits in very nicely. It is what I hoped it would be. Most of the directions were easily read. January 27, 2012
Compact Dishwasher I had a client that lives in a 1950's home. The kitchen cabinet are only 21" deep rather than 24" as they are now. They wanted a dishwasher but couldn't afford a $30,000 kitchen remodel. This was the answer. This dishwasher fit in a 18" wide opening from where a drawer was and the depth was only 21". It was a prefect fit. The dishwasher was well made, easy to install, and quite. The only thing is the instruction for the salt for the water softener wasn't very good. January 19, 2012
skeptical I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews, but the danby 18' has worked great. It is very quite and cleans the dishes well. I have found that you have to crack the door after cycle in order for the dishes to dry. Can't beat it for the price. January 24, 2012
Right size but poorly made I bought this dishwasher for use in an older model mobile home we bought to live in while building our home. It was old an had an extremely small kitchen I had just enough space beside the kitchen sink to slide this dishwasher in and it fit perfectly I was elated. It was quite and washed my dishes well. The problem was it's a piece of junk that either stops working mid cycle, or start to leak after about three months. I had mine a year and had to ship it back to Danby twice first to be "fixed" I'm not sure what they fixed since when it came back the box looked like it had been through a warzone, and the dishwasher was dinted. I decided to give it a try though, I was desperate to have a working dishwasher again. A week later I was shipping it back because okay now it wasn't getting stuck in the middle of the wash cycle but now it had leaked flooding my kitchen. Called Danby they said they would replace it with a new one. I sent it back after having to find a new box to ship it in myself. Nearly two months later I get my "new" dishwasher only to open the box to a dishwasher that obvisouly wasn't new, and hadn't even been cleaned before being shipped to me. There was still bits of food inside it and water in the hoses. I called Danby back this time a bit upset, because by this time I'd had the dishwasher for a year and had only gotten about four months of use out of it since I was forever sending it off and waiting weeks, sometimes months to get it back. The customer service people got very rude accusing me of trying to rip them off. After forty minutes on the phone, and talking to three increasingly rude customer service reps, I decided reporting them to the Better Business Bureau was the only option I had left. We did test the "brand new" dishwasher it leaked and stopped working towards the end of the quick wash cycle the first time we used it. August 26, 2010

It is listed as 32 5/16" tall, but I'd need it to be about 2" taller to take up the space under the counter.

No, this dishwasher comes as is, with no height-adjustment legs.

However, you may be able to find a fairly simple solution for those additional 2-inches at your local hardware store.

I have two hoses that go into one piece of plastic thing that hooks to the faucet, I'm not sure how it drains. Is there supposed to be some type of an attachment that would allow it to drain into the sink. I believe one of the hoses is a drain hose and there is an opening on the other side of the plastic piece but what keeps it from spraying all over. I think I'm missing something?
