This Delonghi Energy Star Dehumidifier (model: DE400P) has 40-pint per day capacity, capable of removing up to 40 pints of water from your environment per day to transform muggy air into cool, comfortable air. With soft-touch electronic controls and large LCD display, the functions are easy to set and read. The unit features two functions, a fan only control with three speeds and dehumidification. The electronic humidistat and fan speed functions allow you to easily set your desired level of comfort. The DE400P Delonghi Dehumidifier model includes a patented pump system to automatically remove moisture from the collection tank. Just attach the included 16-foot hose, and the unit can even be drained upward through a window. The dehumidifier function can be operated with or without the available pump. The special safety system prevents water overflow due to a full, improperly positioned or missing tank - even if the optional connector hose is obstructed.

Additionally, the DE400P model is designed to function at temperatures as low as 44ºF, and its unique lateral grille design provides several options for positioning the unit - making this unit particularly convenient and versatile. With durable castor wheels, you can easily move the dehumidifier from room to room. Breathe in the cooler, dryer, and cleaner air as the Delonghi Dehumidifier's permanent, washable air filter quietly traps bothersome dust particles, which also serves to extend the life of the unit.

What does the capacity of the dehumidifier stand for?
Dehumidifiers are rated by the maximum amount of humidity that they will remove from the air in a 24 hour period. For example, a 40 pint dehumidifier is rated to remove 40 pints of moisture from the air in a 24 hour period.
