Danby 146 Bottle Built-In Dual Zone Wine Cooler - Black/Stainless Steel

Chill your wine collections with the Danby 146 Bottle Built-In Dual Zone Wine Cooler (DWC408BLSST) and never have to worry about serving stale, room-temperature wines again. This large wine cooler can hold up to 146 bottles, which is perfect for holding a large portion of your collection, and can keep them cold and ready to serve for parties, get-togethers, and wine tastings. Two temperature zones allow you to chill white wines at a colder temperature, while keeping your red wines at their warmer optimal temperature, and the digital thermostat allows you to adjust and maintain the temperatures to keep your wines at their best. The extra top shelf at the top of the cooler helps you store your magnum wine bottles that have a diameter of up to 3.6" so you can keep the bigger bottles in storage for large parties.

Built-in white LED lighting helps to illuminate the interior of the wine cellar without exposing your wines to too much heat and light, which will keep them safe and sound inside the wine cooler. An LED display also makes it easy to control the temperatures and monitor the internal climate inside the cellar, while the built-in alarm will sound if the door is left ajar or if the temperature inside the cooler fluctuates rapidly. The fan-forced cooling inside the unit allows the air to be evenly distributed, so all of the wines will be chilled at the same temperature no matter where they are in the cooler. Each shelf in this wine cooler is made of a scalloped wood with stainless steel trim, and they all have roller-glide mechanisms to bring your wines out freely and sturdily. This wine cooler is ideal for housing your collection or the wines you prepare to serve your guests, so make sure everyone is happy with their wines by using this elegant cooler.

    • Wine Capacity:

The cooler is designed to hold up to 146 bottles of wine, with a top shelf that can house magnum wine bottles with diameters of up to 3.6"

adequate After bad experiences with other coolers, my expectations were modest. This one does what it should, and that is a welcome relief. Capacity varies with wine type, and pinot noir bottles are wider at base than most. This will reduce bottle capacity by about a third. August 31, 2013
Needs a little help This cooler could be really great if the drawers were about 1 inch deeper so the bottles would fit one behind another, and the shelves were about 2/16 -3/16 further apart so the Syrah bottles would fit better. I like the wood slotted pull-out shelves, blue lights and edge detail. According to some sites on the internet dual cooling really isn't needed. I would like to see the glass door double paned so the temperature of my workshop does not affect the cooling so much. It runs a little more than I think it should. March 5, 2012
Nice cooler it met our expectations It's so nice to have our good wine safely stored in a climate controlled cooler. We have only found three issues with this cooler. 1) It's a very tight fit for some of the bottles that have a design where they are much larger on the bottom 2) It has a "varnish" smell which I'm certain will ease with time, but it's not something you want associated with fine wine 3) It does not hold as many bottle as the specs would indicate. We use it in a special "wine storage room" added to our garage. This works for us because we live in a temperate climate. August 25, 2010
Product is excellent and runs quiet!! I use this as primary storage for my wine collection. I would highly reccomend it for any one looking for a decent size wine storage. Thoe only suggetion I have is for it to have sturdier shelves to get 5 stars. November 9, 2009
