No venting is required for this electraflame fireplace, so you can install it in any location in your home. You can enjoy with or without heat! It features patented Dimplex electric flame technology.

Symphony free-standing electric fireplaces and stoves operate for pennies a day. With an average electricity rate, the unit operates for a remarkable 3¢/hr, while providing all the ambiance and romance of a fireplace. The flame uses slightly under 300 watts of power. When you choose to activate the heat feature along with the flame, the unit uses approximately 1500 watts of power.

Dimplex Wall-Mounted Corner Electric Fireplace - Creme 5 5 1 1

Awesome fireplace! I love the way this fireplace looks, and it wasn't as difficult to install as I first thought it would be. I have to admit I haven't used it yet though, so I can't rate how well it works or how quickly it might heat a room. It is well built however, and I love the antique white decor. My only complaint is that the directions state not to hang the brackets (which hang the top of the fireplace) higher than 55". Although this doesn't seem all that low, the bottom is not very high off the ground (~ 18"). With a toddler around, I worry about him being within reach of it. Make sure you keep a close watch if you have little fingers around. April 4, 2010
