LG Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo - 2.3 Cu. Ft. Capacity - White

Environmentally sound yet silent, the LG 2.3 Cu. Ft. Capacity Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo (WM3477HW) is extremely energy- and water-efficient to help you save money on your monthly bills. This compact all-in-one washer/dryer combo also features LoDecibel quiet operation, making each load whisper quiet so you can't hear it on the other side of the house. The unique ventless condensing drying system doesn't require an external venting source as many conventional dryers do, saving you the hassle of those annoying hook-ups that you associate with many washers and dryers. Perfect for any household and wherever there aren't any normal washer/dryer connections, this ventless combo will keep your whites at their whitest and your colors at their brightest.

    • Ventless Unit:

This washer/dryer combo operates without an external venting source, meaning hassle-free installation and perfect for homes, apartments, condos or vacation homes lacking conventional washer/dryer connections

    • Minimal Noise:

The WM3477HW features a direct drive motor and LoDecibel Quiet Operation, both of which contribute to minimizing the noise and vibration produced during use

    • Delay Wash:

This function allows the cycle to be set but not begin for up to 19 hours, allowing the machine to be unattended but timed to finish preciesly when you it to

    • Capacity:

This compact combo has a generous 2.3 cu. ft. capacity

    • Cycles:

The nine (9) washing cycles, five (5) drying cycles and five (5) temperature levels give you precise control over the washing and drying method of your clothes

    LG 2.3 Cu. Ft. Ventless Washer/Dryer Combo 4.5 5 99 115
Did my research, knew what to expect, very pleased Key tips: - don't overload drying cycle with too many clothes - wipe down rubber seal and glass door after each use - read instruction manual and select appropriate cycles for what you are washing If space is at a premium, you are willing to usually hang dry clothes, and you are willing to perform the simple but regular service this machine requires, I would highly recommend it. The washing is effective and energy efficient. There are many cycle settings, and they make a difference - choose the correct cycle for what you are washing (sounds obvious, but still). Drying is an optional luxury, and the machine treats it as such. Drying will always take far longer than a conventional vented dryer - my experience ranges from 3 to 5 hours depending on the size of the load and the drying settings. Drying is also energy intensive, ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 kWh. Note that these figure are no worse than for conventional vented dryers. Even though this machine takes a long time to dry, it ultimately doesn't necessarily use more electricity in doing so. If you are willing to rely on air-drying as your primary method of drying, and leave the machine only for drying infrequently, this machine is great. If you plan to use the machine to dry every load you wash, it is probably not a good choice for you. FWIW, air drying is better for your clothes, better for the environment, and saves a significant amount on your electricity bill. That said, drying does work well if the machine is not overloaded. As the manual states, I find it very important to clean the rubber seal and glass door after each use. This is especially true after drying. Failure to do so can result in a strange smell in the clothes (that is removed by washing again). I will be moving in two years and I like the fact that it is possible to attach this machine to a kitchen sink and use a standard 3 prong, 15 amp, 120 volt plug. This means that even if I move to a place without washer/dryer hookups, I can bring this machine and use it. Understand that this machine is not a magical combination of a full size washer and dryer in one. The drying has limitations. But if you understand those limitations and follow the instructions, it performs very well. September 30, 2014
Better than expected After ready some reviews I was very sceptical about buying this washer/dryer combo. I have been very pleasantly surprised. It does take a longer time to wash and dry the clothes, but it beats the laundromat any day. You can not overstuff the machine, but it does a great job. Easy to install. September 10, 2014
Compact and Efficient This compact, durable, and efficient machine fits well in my small laundry closet, where I opted to have one machine versus two or even the bulky and awkward "stacking" combo machines. The machine is pricey but provides a good investment when considering the energy expense of running it year round. I echo other reviewers' recommendation to read the manual carefully to take most advantage of the nice features. I am fortunate to live in a dry climate where I can hang most of my clothes to dry, but I use the dryer for sheets and it does a good job. This kind of dryer seems to take a bit longer than the vented kind to finish drying laundry. My contractor did not install it properly at first (remove the packing bolts) and it danced like crazy the first time I used it. After a couple of adjustments, the machine is stable and runs well. LG provides helpful customer support on their website. Overall excellent product. September 2, 2014
