I LIVE IN A APARTMENT ON THE SECOND FLOOR, I HATED GOING DOWN STAIRS TO DO MY WASH. YOU NEVER KNEW WHAT WOULD BE LEFT IN THE WASHERS WHEN YOU WENT TO USE THEM---NASTY!!! WHEN I SAW THE WASHER/DRYER COMBO ON-LINE, I WAS THRILLED TO DEATH!!!! THE COMBO WAS HERE IN NEBRASKA IN LESS THAN A WEEK. THE FIRST WASH I HAD SOME TROUBLE, BUT AFTER THAT I WAS FINE. I LOVE, LOVE IT----NO MORE GOING DOWN STAIRS TO WASH. IT REMINDS ME OF A PORTABLE DISHWASHER---ABOUT THE SAME SIZE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE LIVING IN AN APARTMENT TO USE ONE---GOOD FOR A FAMILY OF ONE OR TWO. IF YOU PLAN TO MOVE IT TO A SINK, YOU NEED THE ADAPTOR KIT!!!

Works Better Than Expected !
After over a year of reading reviews I bought this machine and I'm not sorry at all, works Great, Quiet, Dries great just don't over fill the machine. Great for single person. you won't regret it !!

My Favorite Laundry Machine
I had the chance to use this combo for a year while we were in a rental. It took some getting used to because there seemed to be so many options and I wanted to explore all of them.
The machine is very quiet and it does a top-notch job getting clothes and linens clean. The drying cycle seems to take a very long time. I don't know if that's because it's just slow, or if it has a long cool-down cycle.
It's very convienent to NOT have to take the clothes from the washer and put them into the dryer. Now, if only LG would perfect the technology that makes the combo fold the clothes and put them away, they'd have the perfect machine.

My First Combo Washer/Dryer
We needed a washer/dryer for our loft that had no venting access. We read all of the web site info (Pros & Cons). LG fit the bill. Now about using it. It takes a little thinking but you can do washing w/o drying and drying w/o washing - and it works. What you need to do is understand that it will take longer to do the drying because it is like using steam. We put a reasonable load into the unit (we don't do blankets and the like) but all else. it takes around 56 minutes to wash a load and depending on the size of the load anywhere from 50 min (small load) up to 4 hrs (which we never had to use). Our typical drying time is around 1 hr 50 min for a regular load.
Drying Only (just use "drain and spin" and turn the spin speed to "no spin"). Washing w/o drying just wash without touching the drying knob. We usually wash w/o drying and take out the damp cloths (hang what we want to) and then put the damp cloths back in when we want to dry them. The only issue (if this is an issue) is that you will find your cloths are more wrinkled than in a normal bigger dryer - remember it is like a steam drying cycle. Other than that - we are satisfied. AND don't forget that this is a high speed spin cycle - keep it leveled and you will do fine.

Hello, I would like to buy this item as soon as possible before Labor Day. I understand this can be made portable.1) Can I install this to my bathroom sink?
2) Do I need the Y connector or the quick connect device?
3) Does it come with instructions on how to set these up? I have never used a portable washing machine.

Yes, you can install this to work with your bathroom sink. You will need both the quick connect faucet adapter, and the Y connector. You screw the faucet adapter into your sink, then attach the Y connector to the faucet adapter, and then attach the hot and cold hoses to the Y connector. When running the unit, use only cold water as it will save you both time and money. The drying cycle on the unit is more efficient if you use cold water. If you wish to wash something in hot water, set the unit for hot and the unit will heat the water.

Will I be able to remove some clothes after wash cycle and leave some for the dry cycle to continue?
Details:
Some clothes I don't want to be included in dry cycle. A few reviews stated that you can't distinguish between wash and dry cycle, or open the door. I'd need to remove some but have the rest dried. Also, some reviews state that you can have just the dry cycle run, so in situations where clothes are not completely dry you have to run them through wash cycle again before drying.

With all of these washer dryer combos, once you set the cycle, you will not be able to open the door. That said, all you have to do is set if to wash, then remove the clothes you don't want to dry, then set the machine to dry.Answers

IT HAS LEGS TO ADJUST, LIKE A FRIDG. OR STOVE. IF YOU ARE GOING TO MOVE IT AROUND, YOU NEED TO ORDER THE ADAPTOR KIT. MY FLOOR IS THE OLD TYPE TILE AND IS SLICK----I PUT A DOOR MAT RUG UNDER IT TO KEEP IT FROM MOVING---WORKS GREAT!
