The Vornado Replacement Demineralization Cartridge (MD1-0018) for use in your Vornado HU1-0022-06 solves for one of the most significant problems with typical tap water.  Most tap water is full of lime, calcium and a host of other minerals and when this water is vaporized, "white dust" can form - a kind of residue buildup that can develop on your walls, floors and furniture. The Vornado Replacement Demineralization Cartridge is specifically designed for use in your Vornado Humidifier to prevent this buildup from ever occurring. It removes minerals from the water source, prevents white dust, and prevents scale build-up inside the humidifier. It also contains a germicidal additive to prevent bacterial build-up. Completely odorless, this filter scrubs your water clean, extending the life of your humidifier.
