Better than I thought
This is a very attractive model. Although, I have only used it a couple of times it's been great. Great for counter top and design is modern. It's actually much better than I thought it would be for the price. Great deal, great product all around and compact appliance which I purchased it from is so easy to work with.

Avanti 0.9 Micro Works well for my needs
Unit still serving my minimal daily needs after 4 months as my other brand had conked. I shopped not for cooking requirements but more for same size in a kitchen "area" studio apt. Had to be same small footprint to fit cart as the Emerson that fit for 2.5 years. Inside dimen high enough for rice cooker with knob on top 7". MOST important feature being a handle to grab on door NOT push buttons - hard to use with long fingernails. Only 2 brands on the market with door handles. Reviews on the newer models of same Emerson I'm replacing were horrible, must have had a bad year of lemons so I was lucky to find the Avanti here.Also, had to be no more than 900watts or blow a fuse on same circuit as fridge coming on. You can tell I'm not interested in cooking LOL but size, safety and ease opening door for a senior lady.Happy that it is very attractive with my other stainless appliances. Disappointed the glass plate is only 10" not 12", inside dimensions not so specific on specs but ok, big dinner plate fits on it. I only cook for myself, mostly vegies and frozen meals, rice or pasta.I don't use Presets, rather judge my own timing from experience. No One Min or 30 Sec button but easy enough to push seconds and Start, some features I like better than my other one. Have to push numbers pretty hard with knuckle, not a soft touch and keep thinking something should be peeled off the display but nothing in book saying so or how. These are meant for men's thumbs without nails.The exterior seems to get a lot hotter to the touch than others, maybe the steel, point is the food inside heats better so not a neg. Dishes get very hot too. I cover everything with a micro lid to keep interior cleaner and cut moisture which can conk them faster if not aired. (Hate to clean too)It beeps at me every so many minutes to remind me to get my food, good for senior moments altho I frequently argue back, I know! Not ready to get up so let it stand!!When out of box I was shocked to see it was a metalic blue! I called Customer Service and we decided it was a mylar film on the 3 exterior sides to be peeled off. Odd, because even the vent holes were pierced thru the film, and screws were on top of the film. Was a sticky mess. So if you like blue I guess you leave it on (?) I removed it, wish that were included in booklet too for the clueless.All tolled, it's a great little oven of good quality and if it lasts only a year (most don't these days) I'd buy another to replace it if still in stock. Dropped one star for buttons hard to push, not soft touch, and lack of specificity on instructions. [...] Thank you Compact!
