The GranPappy 05411 holds up to six cups of oil or three pounds of shortening and can accommodate up to six servings of food at a time. The handy internal thermostat keeps the oil at the optimum frying temperature, while the power cord has a magnetic safety connection that shuts off power immediately in cases of accidental trips or tangles. Used oil can be strained then poured back into the unit and stored, covered by the accompanying snap-on lid.
