Sunpentown Energy Star Rated 40 Pint Dehumidifier
Not a bad machine
My old dehumidifier quite on me & it took me a couple of weeks to get this machine, so the room was pretty humid once I got it & installed the hose fittings provided with the machine. I had to provide my own hose to either use the drain/water storage or hook up to a drain source to the outside the house. Within the next day I had filled up a 5 gallon bucket of water. It seems to run fairly quiet & once the build up of humidity, it cycled though periods of running & shutting off. It has a warming signal for when the water storage is full, but you chose to run the water to an outside source or like what I did where it runs to an outter barrel, there is no warning signal. Other then that I would recommend this machine to anyone! So far it is working just great!

A great health tool
We purchased this appliance during a house remodel where we were living in a 24' camper temporarily. We noticed as the weather turned cooler and we started the camper furnace that moisture was a real problem. The bedding was damp and the windows were weeping constantly. After one day we saw a significant improvement and after three days the bedding no longer was damp and the window moisture cleared up. We love the portability and the ease of operation. We do not need to worry about filter replacements which is a real bonus. The only down side is the noise when trying to sleep at night. This is mainly due to the small living area so would not be a problem in a normal house setting. I would, however, recommend that the manufacturer include the drainage hose as part of the original package so that people can use it or not, depending upon their circumstances. This would eliminate searching out parts when you need to have the appliance up and running in a hurry. We would definitly recomment this product.
