The Samlex Isolated DC-DC Converter - 9-18 V to 12.5 V - 8 Amps (IDC-100A-12) allows you to efficiently convert a DC power source ranging from 9 to 18 volts to a 12.5 DC voltage. The IDC-100A-12 is a fully-isolated and highly efficient converter that has an ultra-quiet EMI/EMC compliant operation. With a complete protection package, this isolated DC-DC power converter features protection against reverse polarity and over-voltage on the input side, and overload, short circuiting and over-voltage on the output side. Additionally, the temperature controlled cooling fan provides protection against overheating.
Ideal for applications requiring galvanic isolation between the input and output, the Samlex Isolated DC-DC Converters are designed to allow multiple converter connections in a series. As result, they can generate non-standard voltage rails. Use them with heavy equipment, large transportation vehicles, marine vehicles, CB radios, or virtually any 12 or 24 volt system. Created with absolute safety and reliability in mind, this model will offer a minimum of 500,000 hours of solid performance.
