The Smeg 36-Inch Electric Ceramic Cooktop with 5 Radiant Zones (S2951CXU) has an extra-large layout to create enough room to accommodate multiple burners, including a central circular heat element that measures 10 5/8" across. Unlike coil-style electric cooktops that are often uneven and provide cooking results that reflect that, the super smooth "Suprema" black ecological glass ceramic surface ensures that the cooking surface is always completely even. Additionally, the glossy surface makes for extremely easy cleaning, and the angled glass edge will provide the smoothest of transitions from cooktop to countertop.

This large electric cooktop is equipped with five (5) separate high-light radiant elements, two (2) of which have variable heat elements for increased heating capabilities and cooking versatility. The extra-large central circular element provides 3 separate levels of heat in a single zone for a more versatile cooking experience. Each heat zone has nine (9) power levels that are easily adjusted using the soft-touch controls at the front of the cooktop, as well as a cook timer that can be set anywhere from 1 to 99 minutes in length. The cooktop also features residual heat indicators that keep you informed of when the cook surface is still hot as well as a lock-out function to avoid accidental injury.
