Description:

Tumbleweed Compost Tumbler

The vertical tumbling action of the patented Tumbleweed Compost Bin (200003), designed with a stainless steel rod running through the middle, creates an aerobic action that offers a quick and odorless form of composting. It also has sturdy, galvanized tubular steel legs that won't rust that hold up the composter. The steel in these legs is made with recycled metal (as available). The recycled content varies between 17 and 20 percent.

A daily spin will produce earthy dark brown compost in as few as 21 days. Your specific composting time depends on your mix of materials, moisture of the compost, weather, etc. For the best results, we suggest using 75% dry ingredients (leaves, grass clippings, shredded newspaper) and 25% moist waste (vegetable scraps, dead flowers, etc). The composter will work with any blend of organic materials, but it may take longer to complete the process.

Easy Filling and Emptying:
Two animal-resistant twist lock vented lids at either end, providing maximum aeration

Stainless-steel Rod:
The stainless steel rod through the center helps quickly break down the material in the composter with just a few turns, improving the already good compost tumbling action

Simple Assembly:
It will take you about 10 or 15 minutes to fully assemble this unit, using only your hands and a pocket screwdriver

Everything about this composter is easy. It is worth the money. Don't bother trying a cheaper one because you will come back to this one. Perfect for people who have busy lives----no more turning with a pick or shovel! October 8, 2010

Works for me The price is right, the product works very well and is easy for me to use. I've read some comments about it being difficult to turn but didn't find it so when full of material if the directions for turning are followed. Imagine that! Following directions. What will they think of next? October 1, 2009

Really great composter This composter is just as described: easy to fill and easy to turn. Even though it was somewhat difficult to assemble (holes not punched through plastic & didn't match up), it works like it should. We add to it almost every day and give it couple of quick spins. Great but... Assembly could be easier. Also, difficult to move around. Dangerous pinch hazard between rotating drum and legs. Even, still, I'm very happy and kinda wishing I had two! October 4, 2010
