Vector 2/10/25 Amp Charge Rate - 12 Volt Battery Charger with 75 Amp Engine Start

The Vector VEC1095A 25/10/2 Amp Continuous Charge Rate 12 Volt Battery Charger with 75 Amp Engine Start is fully automatic with float mode monitoring capabilities and digital diagnostics. This unit features automatic temperature compensation, an alternator and battery voltage check, and a digital display that shows the charge rate, operating mode, fault codes, battery voltage and FUL when fully charged. This unit also features a 1 minute charge to start, 3-stage high-frequency automatic rapid charge, and high-frequency power conversion technology. The VEC1095A has battery type selection capabilities, built-in battery reconditioning, and a battery equalization feature. The lightweight, high efficiency design of the VEC1095A makes this unit easy to bring with you anywhere.

The VEC1095A also includes self storing cables and clamps, a microprocessor control, internal short circuit protection, and spark-resistant reverse polarity and short circuit protection for the user.

Second Charger very good Unfortunately,the first one that I purchased was bad. The second one I purchased has worked without any problems. I purchased the second one on 6-24-2005. I have charged many different batteries and like the charging features and the digital display output. I suggest this charger despite the first bad experience. I have owned 2 other battery chargers since the 1980's and this is the best one by far. December 8, 2006

Vector Smart Battery Charger Basics

Vector Smart Battery Chargers deliver a FASTER, SAFER, and SMARTER charge for 12 volt lead acid battery types. Models range from 2-50 Amps, with up to 150 starting Amps, for all charging needs. Offering high-frequency, 3-stage, fully automatic charging with digital diagnostics on selected models. Vector Smart Chargers are also 30-40 % lighter than conventional chargers.

Stable Charging
Vector's Pure DC output current provides a more stable charge by regulating both voltage and amperage through each stage of the charging process, depending on the battery's state of charge. This results in a higher quality charge without overcharging or overheating of the battery while extending its serviceable life. Conventional chargers start out at their maximum rated current and steadily decline. Some model never shut off and can even "cook" a battery, resulting in excessive high temperature "boiling", which may lead to exposed plates and shorten the life of the battery.

Efficient Charging
Vector's Smart Battery Chargers' PURE DC output current provides a more efficient charge. The crude form, chopped, pulsating DC current from conventional chargers produces a less efficient charge. Low AC line voltage and/or extension cord use can cause conventional chargers to produce a lower charging current that falls below rated specifications. Under these same conditions Vector's Smart battery Chargers' output remains unaffected and charging current maintains itself at the full selected rate.
