Vector 2/4/6 Amp Continuous Charge Rate - 12 Volt Battery Charger

The Vector VEC1086B 6/4/2 Amp Continuous Chrage Rate 12 Volt Battery charger is fully automatic with float mode monitoring capabilities and uses high-frequency power conversion technology. This unit features an 8 minute charge to start and 3-stage high-frequency automatic rapid charge. Three multicolored LEDs display the charge rate you have selected and the charging complete indicator alerts you when the battery is fully charged. The lightweight, high efficiency design of the VEC1086B makes this unit easy to bring with you anywhere.

The VEC1086B also includes self storing cables and clamps, microprocessor control, and spark-resistant reverse polarity and short circuit protection for the user.

how long to recharged two 12 volt batteries hooked up on vehicle

Answers

It takes 8 minutes to charge a 12V battery. With that charge, you will be able to start a vehicle. So for example, if you charge both 12V batteries at the same time, it will only take 8 minutes to do so. If you charge them one at a time, it will take approximately 16 minutes.

Vector Smart Battery Charger Basics

Vector Smart Battery Chargers deliver a FASTER, SAFER, and SMARTER charge for 12 volt lead acid battery types. Models range from 2-50 Amps, with up to 150 starting Amps, for all charging needs. Offering high-frequency, 3-stage, fully automatic charging with digital diagnostics on selected models. Vector Smart Chargers are also 30-40 % lighter than conventional chargers.

Smarter - Three-Stage charging provides full charge.

Stable Charging
Vector's Pure DC output current provides a more stable charge by regulating both voltage and amperage through each stage of the charging process, depending on the battery's state of charge. This results in a higher quality charge without overcharging or overheating of the battery while extending its serviceable life. Conventional chargers start out at their maximum rated current and steadily decline. Some model never shut off and can even "cook" a battery, resulting in excessive high temperature "boiling", which may lead to exposed plates and shorten the life of the battery.

Efficient Charging
Vector's Smart Battery Chargers' PURE DC output current provides a more efficient charge. The crude form, chopped, pulsating DC current from conventional chargers produces a less efficient charge. Low AC line voltage and/or extension cord use can cause conventional chargers to produce a lower charging current that falls below rated specifications. Under these same conditions Vector's Smart battery Chargers' output remains unaffected and charging current maintains itself at the full selected rate.
