The Koolatron Total Chef Oven is the newest kitchen appliance designed for the busy lifestyles of today. It combines infrared heat, conduction and convection in one convenient appliance. Infrared heat cooks your food from the inside out while hot air circulates, cooking from the outside in, sealing in the juices and leaving a crispy outer layer. This patented technology cooks three times faster than a conventional oven, using 60% less energy.

The Total Chef can cook an entire meal in just one go. It's so simple- all you do is place the meats and vegetables in the Total Chef, set the timer and temperature level and turn it on. Now you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time doing the things that matter.

Another great feature of the Total Chef is that defrosting is not required; you can cook meat right from the freezer- cutting down on your preparation time. Meats, fish, and chicken- virtually anything can now go from frozen to cooked in no time!

The Infrared Oven also disassembles very quickly and is dishwasher safe, so clean up is a breeze.

Love the benefits, Hate the durability I bought the Total Chef Oven in November. Last week the screws that holds the heating unit together became loose and my boyfriend and I tried to maintain it as well as possible. Today 3 screws came out of the heating unit while in use. I really appreciate the benefits of this product and would like to continue, but not if I'm going to have to replace it every 3 months. February 4, 2007

Wish it were better The unit arrived with cracks in the plastic dome. Compact Appliance promptly mailed me a replacement dome. I found the unit cooked unevenly. Meats were crisp, even charred on the top before the bottom was cooked. Breads browned unevenly, and the bottom remained near raw. The unit shorted out after three months of use, and I'm trying to find out how to fix it. Foods did not cook as quickly as promoted, and setting time and temperature was not precise as the dials were small and poorly marked. November 10, 2006

Complete bummer! The hood cracked after using it 4 times. Koolatron was good enough to send a replacement hood free of charge, as long as it is within 1 year from purchase date. **HOWEVER** in a little less that two years, the infrared bulbs stopped working on mine, and the Koolatron offered to SELL me a new top for [$]plus [...]! I've used this appliance just to roast peppers, and grill burgers less than 20 times. In my estimation, it's not worth it. I enjoyed it while it worked, but not if I have to spend [$]to replace the bulbs...not to mention the hood when it cracks from heat! June 19, 2008
