Through the use of cyclone technology James Dyson revolutionized the vacuum cleaner industry with the first ever bagless vacuum cleaner. Since then, Dyson has expanded beyond vacuum cleaners to include a wide variety of innovative products. Each product is designed to solve an everyday problem and is engineered to last. Choosing a Dyson home appliance ensures you are choosing durability and quality.
Driven by advanced engineering, Dyson has always been on the cusp of innovation. In 1978, Founder James Dyson became disappointed with his vacuum’s efficiency. He noticed the bag had become clogged with dust which lead to a consistent decline in performance, causing the vacuum to lose suction over time. After building an industrial cyclone tower that used centrifugal force to separate paint particles from the air, Dyson wondered if the same technology could be redesigned and implemented for a vacuum cleaner.
A short five years and 5,127 prototypes later, James Dyson had created the world’s first bagless vacuum. This newfound innovation was taken by storm, and in 1991, the household name was born.
Dyson has since taken over the industry, manufacturing vacuum cleaners, bladeless fans and humidifiers that excel in modern-day convenience. Their appliances are lightweight and easy to transport, offering unparalleled features and functions that enhance their consumers’ everyday lives. If you are looking for a beautifully designed, durably built product that won’t lose suction or power, then it’s time to consider investing in a Dyson.

Dyson’s inventive technology soon translated to other markets, and air treatment was at the forefront of demand. In mid-2009, the international brand released their first bladeless fan, paving the way for future success.
Dyson fans feature patented Air Multiplier™ technology, which utilizes powerful air streams to supply any room with a refreshing blast of air. Whether it’s the dead of winter or the middle of July, these air-quality products keep your comfort a top priority. These bladeless fans offer dual function with an optional 5118-BTU heat output, providing a long range and wide projection to quickly and evenly heat your space. Accredited by Quiet Mark, an international noise abatement society, Dyson’s selection of heater fans are rated for a 75% quieter operation than competitors.
A few years later, in 2015, Dyson’s cool mist humidifiers made their debut. Modeled after their bladeless fans, these revolutionary appliances are the best choice for maintaining a specific level of humidity in your home. Dyson humidifiers boast a stylish, futuristic design that excels in providing even humidification, along with air multiplying technology which increases overall airflow. These units emit moisture in the form of ultra-fine mist, and because of the considerable tank capacities, you can enjoy ideal humidification for hours on end.

General Summary of Proposition 65
The “California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986” (more commonly referred to as ‘Proposition 65’)
was enacted to ensure that customers be properly warned when a product contains a substance known to cause cancer or
reproductive harm. The law requires the State of California to publish and maintain (annually) a list of substances
to be available to the general public. Additionally, the law requires that businesses properly notify residents of
the State of California about the presence of these substances in the products they purchase, or that may be present
in their homes, workplaces, or that otherwise may be released into the environment. The specific list contains a wide
range of naturally occurring and synthetic substances including manufacturing and construction chemicals, pesticides,
tobacco, food-additives, solvents, household products, drugs and byproducts created from a specific product usage.
You may have noticed the below warning label on our products, or on products from other manufacturers. The warning
has become increasingly commonplace and oftentimes raises questions about why the warning exists, and what it means
to a customer. The warning itself is just one of many requirements for businesses operating in and/or selling products
to customers in the the State of California. The warning does not mean that a product that includes the warning will
cause cancer or reproductive harm, but rather it simply is provided in order to educate the consumer that a substance
may exist. A large number of the substances listed under Proposition 65 have been in regular use for many years
without any documented harm to a consumer. This is due to the low concentrations and minimal exposure that actually
occurs with these substances. Those chemicals, however, have been determined by the State of California to be listed
as potentially harmful.
I don’t live in California. Why did my product include this warning?
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 requirements we have determined that all products manufactured by
Living Direct Inc, including products sold under the EdgeStar, Avallon and Koldfront brands, should include the
above-referenced warning label. This labeling requirements exists for all of our products regardless of the
location / destination to which the product is ultimately sold and/or shipped.
We believe that our products, when used as designed, are not harmful and as such this warning is provided
in order to properly conform to the requirements of Proposition 65.
